She wasn't being snarky, but simply stating the truth.

There will be days that you will undereat maybe not intentionaly but it will happen.  Life has a way of getting in the way of or plans.  Unless you always have something with you it will happen.  It happens to me quite frequently.

In the first year it is hard to say what undereating is because we are learning our new lifestyles but as you go into maintanence you need to find that base level of calories that your body is happy at because if you don't give it what it needs for extended periods of time you will have something happen.

I know. :) See my reply to Nik.

Also, the Bible verse thread kinda got my hackles up, so I was probably reading snark where there wasn't any. It's alllll good in the hood.

I don't think undereating will ever be a problem for me.

It may not, but don't be surprised IF you go through the period where you just don't want to eat anything.

I think it is also important to mention that not eating enough (or not eating regularly enough) can actually sabotage weight loss by causing your body to drop its metabolism... so if you are eating less because you think you will lose faster, you are probably having the opposite effect.

Ok did you write this just for me today Nikki? HMMMM? lol

I am one of those "lucky people" who does not feel hunger. and while it is easy to think hell just go eat you know you need to. It isnt always that easy. I am 10 almost 11 months out and I still have to talk myself into eating somedays as food is no longer attractive to me.
Without feeling hungry life gets in the way. Esp with 4 kids....well my crazy 4 kids. I am very much a stick to the rules kinda girl so if i am stuck out witout back up food then **** I don;t eat till I can get ahold of something I can eat.

But it is nice to have someone Nikki yell at you to get food when you need it every now and then! oh and so you know I did eat Nikki :)

While I don't really know any of Nik's background I take in everything she says. Obviously she has been successful and has overcome, most likely...obstacles that a lot of us are facing now. Just from reading all of these posts, especially about sugars crashing (that happens to me too often), I think eating on a schedule would be something good for me to do. Seems like by the time I realize I'm hungry, it's past the point of bs crashing. One instance was this morning I went to work, took a protien shake made with skim milk, greek yogurt, protien powder, water and blueberries. I drank that and was full for quite some time. By the time I got home, my bs was 53...I only knew because I was being a complete ***** to everyone! So maybe a schedule would be a good thing for me. Wouldn't hurt to try it...for me anyway.

In the past I would intentionally skip a meal because I knew I was going out to eat or otherwise consume more calories then usual.  Like on Thursdays I always go out to lunch with my boyfriend.  In the past I would skip breakfast so I could have a big lunch.  Now I find that is a waste of time.  Because I can't eat a lot I find that I will be eating the same amount at lunch whether or not I had breakfast.  Even if I skip breakfast I still can't eat a lot at lunch so I don't bother skipping it anymore.
I do have problems with forgetting to eat because I'm not hungry but I usually time my meals so that I eat whether or not I am hungry.
