What are you eating/doing today? FRIIIIIIDAY!
So far, for my weird breakfast, I've had 2 pieces of tilapia. (I don't know why, but I had a major craving for fish) Rosemary chicken on the horizon for dinner, and lunch is a crap shoot right now depending on what time I'm getting to it. (possibly just an Atkins bar today :( Just no time come the afternoon.
It was a short work week for me this week but still felt long! Yesterday I spoiled myself, as it was my birthday. So I celebrated by getting new furniture, sort of a collective celebration for 50 pounds lost, almost 1 year smoke free (it will be the reward for that! bought with the money I saved) and my birthday present all rolled into one.
I'm very excited and I hope it looks good in my room!
Today I have planned for food:
B - Cottage cheese 100 G (14 g P) and a tsp of sf raspberry jam
L - Two cheese sticks and 2 Pepperoni sticks and cucs (haven't figured out the protein there)
AS - Laughing cow cheese (2 pieces) and 4 pita bites (about 8 g protein there)
D - To be determined but I'm thinking veal parmigian (sp)
Snack will depend on how my protein levels are, a protein drink if I am under 60 and if not probaby some sf jello maybe...for a treat

Nik, I am pretty much the same way. I would much rather text someone than talk to them. Even that I don't do a ton of.
I think this weekend I am going to go to the laundry mat. I have been working all week to catch up on laundry, but with 5 of us it just keeps reproducing its self. I usually do 11 loads a week and taking a week off.....Ugh. I have learned that procrastination just leads to more work for me.
BF: a coffee protein shake. Made with skim, vanilla protein powder and a tbs of flaxseed meal.
I don't know what the rest of the day holds. I do know that there will no meat in my day. No big fish fry that I used to do every Friday during Lent pre-op. Fish ATM doesn't seem appealing to me right now.

B - 0% Fage, frozen cherries and splenda topped with Special K Protein cereal and ground flax.
Decaf coffee with splenda and 5 tsp ff non dairy creamer (I'm tapering. Used to be a lot more than that!).
I'm working on more water now. I have one of those nifty insulated cups with the straw and it holds 24 ounces. Halfway through my first one so far.
L - will be cucumber slices with hummus, deli turkey slices, a cheese stick. Then maybe some grapes if I still have room to fill.
I have an apple, an orange, some protein powder, and a protein bar for emergency "hunger".
Still a much better day than Wednesday. The need to feed my issues is still there but I seem to have regained a better grasp on it... it's still a struggle though.
I went to a musical last night and got home late. After fixing up today's meals and washing up it was about 1245 before I went to bed. AND THEN I was back at work this morning at 0615 am for training. I have a 4pm phone conference today that I think I just might skip out on. I missed yoga last night so I need to make it up... either by an extra hour by sunday (I already do three hours on the weekends) or maybe a run...

I am totally getting into cooking at home - prior to my surgery all we did is eat out....and now thanks to Nik and Eggface I am having a blast cooking for my family!! They are loving it too!!!

so in the mug with the 2oz I put 4 pumps of SF peppermint syrup and 1 scoop of favorite vanilla protein powder (whisk into a paste - no lumps) then add the hot milk stir to incorporate and enjoy!
I love this right now - it is simple but delicious.....like a hot shamrock shake.
