What are you eating/doing today? Wednesday!

...for some, it is Ash Wednesday and the beginning of Lent.

Today I am working (finally finished that DAMN article and turned it in!), then going to church and then home to work on the house some. They are puting the lockbox on the door (with the key) so that they can start showing this weekend. Ack!

Anyhoo...eats as I know them. I have been suprisingly protein-forward without really trying that hard.

1. 1 c. Greek yogurt w/ Splenda, 1 tbsp nuked peanut butter (when you nuke PB a little goes a LONG way) and 1/4 c. Fiber One (260 cals, 30g protein!)

2. Homemade lemon-pepper tilapia filet with seasoned TVP, zucchini, yellow squash and caramelized sweet onions (about 250 calories, 35g protein!)

3. I'll have Vanilla Latte Click as my afternoon snack (IF I ever get hungry again. TVP is hella filling!)

4. Whatever the old ladies feed me at church.

5. I think (gasp!) my Bullet may have finally died. I have been having protein berry smoothies for a later evening snack. If I can muster up the energy to haul out "Ye Olde Blender" (such a chore!) I might make one. If not, more Greek yogurt, this time with nuked SF Apricot preserves.

Oh and for accountabilities sake I am announcing here that I gave up cottage cheese for Lent. If you read me saying I ate cottage cheese, you have my full permission to (virtually) throttle me.

Um...today has been:

1. Lactaid w/2 scoop protein powder. It is soooo hard to choke this stuff down lately.
2. about 1/2 cup sugar snap peas
3. Chobani Blueberry w/Kashi Go Lean Crunch
4. Chef Boyardee Mini Ravioli's nukem container

At a loss after that. Zoloft seems to be affecting my appetite.

Had my coffee. Got my water. Doing short burst on the elliptical before spin class tonight.

I was just contemplating starting this tread to confess my "sins" this morning... as sinful as they might be.

Actually it's just to show that good intentions do not always win when faced with temptation and bad habits.

A bottle of water on the way to work.

Breakfast - 0% fage, frozen cherries, Splenda, Special K and ground flax.

Decaf with splenda and ff non dairy creamer.

And 3 servings of a 4 serving mini bag of cheezits.  I bought the last night in a moment of weakness on the way home.  Left them in my car to keep from eating them.  As a last minute thought I brought them into the office this morning thinking I'd just eat a couple if I wanted and portion them out over the next few weeks.  Once conference call turned into another, turned into a meeting, turned into chart audits... and one by one I ate those litte cheezits.  450 calories worth - it didn't take many of them at 25 cheezits a serving.  So, after a initial moment of shock and realization I crumbled the remainder of them into crumbs and have dumped them into a trash can.

So, looks like my planned lunch is no longer on the menu since I'm full of cheezits now.  It WAS going to be deli turkey, a string cheese, some cucumbers and roasted red pepper hummus.  Maybe that will be dinner instead.

Best laid plans are sometimes derailed by mindless eating and old habits.  Just goes to show that one can be imperfect and the world will not implode.

I just need to increase water for the rest of the day to counteract the fact that I'm down about a bottle and a half from my usual intake by this time of day.

Oh well, pick up and make the best of the rest of the day!

Cheezits are the devil I think. My son loves them but I've worked a deal with him. He eats them at his grandmother's house. He also eats oreos over there. I'm too weak to have them around.

I would bet that you will need to eat your lunch. You can hoover down some cheezits and still be hungry in a hour.

Nope, no hungry.  Still holding on from the cheezits.  I'll probably pull out my apple though in around an hour (about 3).  I usually have some sort of snack - usually a protein bar around then but I didn't grab one this morning.

The debil crackers are paying me back already.  They've turned themselves into gas and are attacking me from the inside now.  I had to make an emergency run to CVS and pick up some simethicone as my office stash was depleted.

Not doing well on my water intake.  I'm drinking a Vitamin Water Zero right now and avoiding my water cup as we speak.

I'm going to snap out of it and get two of these cups of water down before I leave today... that's 48 more ounces. For a total of 85 oz fluids (not counting the coffee) with 65 of that beng water.

I don't know.  My stomach is still bothering me sometimes when I eat.  I think it's stress.  It better not be an ulcer or anything like that.

I had Greek yogurt for breakfast.  Only it was about lunch time before I got around to eating it.

I think I'm having island red beans for dinner, which is spicy and might not sound like a good thing when my stomach is bothering me, but the spicyness doesn't really bother me, it's just having my stomach full of anything that bothers me.

I'll do a protein shake for a snack.  maybe some roasted chickpeas later.

I am on day one of no added sugar.
I have leftovers from a gyros platter that I ordered last night that's going to get me through every meal today.
I plan on eating bananas, apples, and some greek yogurt with some defrosted frozen peaches to kick back the sugar monster.
The good news is that it's sunny in Seattle. Off to the dog park.
