Yeah, unfortunately my 12yo's braces are using up our entire FSA this year!  Maybe next year!

OUCH!  Poor kid (but at least s/he will get nice straight teeth)!  Orthodontics are EXPENSIVE and most dental plans barely cover it.

Thanks so much for posting this, I had not even considered using my FSA account for all of my supplements!  I'm going to ask my doctor for a letter of medical necessity on my next visit!

Check with your individual provider.....I know that I have to have mine filled out on the correct form once a year, but then it is good to go.  I can not use mine for protein supplements, but can use it for CA, FE, and ALL vitamins and supplements (including probiotics, miralax, benefiber, etc.) - As long a Dr. will vouch that you need the cupplement you are good to go!.  I am single and found this out last year so I have put more in my flex spending b/c it is better out of there then out of pocket!  (As you said every month is tight!  I do have to pay out of pocket and then get reimbursed.)

I may have had a few extra potholes along the way, but the journey has been good!

I use my FSA regularly put $3000 on it to cover glasses, dental, co-pays just started using it for my proteins and vitamins just make sure your Dr.'s letter is dated mine wasn't so I had to use the FSA form on the websight fax it to my Dr and then submit it to FSA.
Great post by the way I appreciate the tax free use of MY money to bad I can't use it for skin removal...
