Would you have ignored this woman, too, or am I being a b*tch?

I would have shown her how skinny my two middle fingers are as I walked right past her!!

Good for you! You have accomplished so much, and there is nothing wrong with her knowing that. Some people have a serious amount of nerve.

I would have ducked to another aisle though lol

Thanks for the feedback.  She seemed so put out that I was not going to approach her... That it was just "common courtesy".  Since she showed no courtesy in her false "concern" that I would not be successful, however, I felt no obligation to speak to her.  If I had really wanted to stay in touch with her, I would have called her in the 2+ intervening years since my last encounter with her...

Props to you for keeping your cool! SHE is clearly the one with unresolved issues of some kind if she has to run around making you and others feel badly about themselves.

Nope, you're not a ***** I would have done things differently though.  I wouldn't be such a nice person to her to chit-chat. I cannot stand people like her. Next time you see her, be a double ***** if you have too...hugs!  I have been around on these boards for about 2 years and thoroughly enjoy your post.

You have done such a great job!  Hugs!!

Definitely not being a ***** Avoiding negativity like that is a sign of good judgment and health.

You did the right thing.

I have to agree with Nik.  Avoiding a negative person is not rude or *****y.  It is sticking up for yourself.

Actually there are a few people that haven't seen me in a while that I am hoping don't recognize me so I can just walk on by.
