2500mcg sublingual B-12 every day too much?
there really is rarely too much B12 but it does depend on your labs - anytime you take too much, you just pee out the excess. I personally feel my best when my level is greater than 2000 and now than it is down at like 800 and my thyroid is out of whack at the same time, I feel like crap. Having them both not good at the same time is really a killer for me. I need my B12 to be atleast 1500 or I am not worth anything.
If you are taking it one per day, I wouldnt' worry about it, get your labs done and see how they are. So many people take 1000mcg or less per day and get there labs done after months and find out they are dangerously low, so you may just be doing yourself a favor and not even knowing it. I would keep taking it. There is no danger
I do shots 3 times per week but slacked off for few weeks and I plummeted real fast

I've been taking 6000 mcg daily for the past few months on top of the 4 b12 shots I received. My level was down in the 100's. It's now over 1000. My doctor looked at me like I was nuts when I told him how much I was taking, but I knew I needed my levels up fast.
So really, it depends on how your b12 level is. But there isn't any danger in taking too much. You'll just pee out the excess.

I commend you for getting your levels up fast. A b12 in the 100's - that is the lowest I have seen and could have been disasterous for you. Not only could it have lead to nerve damage and possibly permanent, at that level it leads to cognitive disfunction resenbly alzeimers. You are lucky you caught it before the damage set in. Make sure you get tested frequently and keep supplementing. DOctors always freak at our dosing schedules _ I inject 3 times per week but my doctors have no problem with it - I recently missed 2 weeks and I plummeted from 1800-700, it happens fast
I have been taking that dosage since surgery. My level rotinely registers in the hgh level at 1999. You do pee out what your body doesn't need so I am happy it;s there and hope it stays there. To many of us have such low levels and struggle to get them higher. I am satisfied that I do not have that issues as B12 deficiencies can be disastrous.
It won't hurt you because B12 is a water soluble vitamin, you'll just pee out whatever your body doesn't need. However, you probably don't need that much every day, unless your B12 level is low. So you could probably save money by taking it every two or three days.
