OH yes My friend Nik You summed it up in a nutshell!! This is so very true and it is hard for us black folks, and I am already telling people who throws the food in my face NO also, and I am starting to get those OH SHE THINKS SHE IS TO GOOD TO EAT LOOKS! I feel so blessed that I am so educated on the right things to eat, I have some of the doctors on my job saying 'Donna you really know your stuff, have you ever thought about becoming a nutrisionist!" Now I would not say I am that great, but at least I am way further than what I was!!

i felt bad for him.  But, i don't think most of the food issues he met with were SOUL FOOD issues.  They were eating McDonalds.  Maybe the church dinner had  chicken and greens, but it seemed a whole lot more 'bad fast food' than good soul food.

And most of his family was overweight.  Except his dad it seemed.  And he died.

Maybe i didn't see the nuances you did.

Either way, i couldn't be around all that.  I was so proud of him.
