Random Poll: Where/when is your "danger zone?"

It's so interesting to me how different we all are in respects to our eating patterns.

Last weekend I posted that weekends are sort of bad for me as I find myself eating more often. Hillery is the opposite and often forgets to eat on the weekends.

That got me to thinking. What (places, etc.) or when (times of day, week, year) are your "danger zones"? And how do you cope?

Being home alone. I need a damn babysitter!!

Like that commercial where the guy hires the 3 mean girls to follow him around? Yeah, I need that. I either need to leave the house or get sucked into my Pinterest addiction.

I need to check your post, I missed that one.

I'm a night time boredom eater for sure.  Once I settle in for the evening (usually between 8-9) I want a sweet snack and struggle to not do it.  I go back and forth with myself that I shouldn't, however, more times then not I cave in to the urge.  I wouldn't say I cope, I know this is a weakness that I haven't been able to overcome.

As it relates to your other thread, weekends are usually my saving grace time.  I do better not grazing or thinking about food except when I'm just sitting around (which is seldom).  I have to remind myself to eat when I'm busy.

After dinner has ALWAYS been my "danger zone".  It has been no different since surgery, unfortunately.

Amen, and then some.

I should try to just go to bed after dinner, but I really do need a bit of time to unwind, and in that hour or two I can eat almost another dinner in nibbles and snacks.

It's brutal!  BRUTAL, I tells ya!

Before bedtime. I was so accustomed to having popcorn or something to snack on while watching tv before I go to sleep, that now it's been the hardest thing to change. I've been doing good the last two weeks, but I still struggle with it every night.

I'm another night time muncher.  I plan a snack and very frequently have a frozen SF drink to help.

I don't beat myself up about my night time munching, if I skip it, I wake up in the middle of the night famished.  And I've never been a mid-night eater.  So, for now, I assume that I need some extra calories.

Weekends are a mixed bag for me - on one hand, I'm eating solids more regularly, so I'm not falling prey to the "low blood sugar, must shove SOMETHING in my mouth!" feeling. But.... then I'm also prey to bordom eating when I have frequent access to the kitchen.... Pretty easily solved, just keep busy. So to keep from rambling, I think my bigest danger zone is when I push myself thru a day without eating - usually due to poor planning - and end up not making choices from my rational thought processes.

After dinner/evenings.
I try to eat more during the day.  I tend to get so busy I don't eat during the day and then am starving at night.  I also have lots of healthy snacks to munch on in the evenings so I am not doing the mindless grazing thing.
