What are you eating/doing today? V day!

It was a learned behavior.

Many times I've purchased a sf apple pie intending to maintain control, only to toss it down the disposal after eating my second piece... that day.

I gave myself permission a long time ago to toss food.  I used to think I had to eat it all in order to not waste money.  Now I figure it's not a waste if I had enough to enjoy it, but not too much so as to regret it.  Now I COULD eat the whole darn pie in two days if I portioned it out one piece at a time and ate it instead of meals.  I have.  With pumpkin.  That's when I HAD to give myself permission to toss.  AND I have to do it on impulse - no thinking about it - because then I'll talk myself into freezing it or tell myself I can maintain control.

Because frozen pie tastes just as good as it does thawed FYI.

Oh.  I shall not google.  I won't even eat hot dogs.

Okay I might google.  But well after I have eaten and my pouch is empty... maybe.  possibly.

Aaaaahhhhhh!!!!!  There are cookies everywhere today!  I dropped my son off at daycare and they gave me cookies.  I come into the office, and every single office has cookies.  And cake.  And chocolate covered strawberries.  Grrrrrr.  I'm doing my best but I'm hungry!

Here's my planned food for today:
B: greek yogurt
S: banana
L: leftover 3-cheese mashed cauliflower & celery w/ PB
S: cottage cheese & half a Quest bar
D: meatballs w/ tomato sauce & parmesan and brussels sprouts

I'll probably break down and eat a cookie too.

Well... sorry to hear about the finger!!!  It probably is Karma from licking the brownie batter!!!

Here's my plan for the day:

B: 1/2 cup low fat cottage cheese and 2 hard boiled egg whites (everyone at work thinks I'm so disgusting for eating it but I love it!)

L: Healthy Choice Steamer (Not the best choice but also not the worst!)

D: My plan is to make steaks for the kids and hubby for V-Day (and they will be having a baked potato) I will be having a salad with it

S: Tuna (cause I have been craving it and we eat dinner super early)

Now... about this exercise issue... I was supposed to go this morning before work... but since I lost my keys which had my pass to the gym on it (and no one would have been there yet to let me in)... now I have to go after work... so at 4pm I will be rushing to get in 20 min of elliptical and 40 min of circuit training... cause I found my keys at work!!! ;) Happy V-Day everyone!!!!

I love February 14th. It's my youngest son's birthday, he just turned 7 so he is still so cuddly and my own little personal love bug/Cupid.

B - Greek yogurt with a few sliced strawberries
S - Protein coffee
L - Wendy's chili
S - String cheese
D - We're headed to Golden Corral too--- Birthday Boy's choice, he loves that place!

and maybe a protein hot chocolate, depends on what time we get wrapped up with the birthday celebrations.

Breakfast was a cup of nonfat plain greek yogurt with a spoonful of SF preserves and a packet of truvia. (120 cals)

Lunch was a Healthy Choice portabella marsala pasta. I had so many of these frozen dinners in my freezer, I'm trying to eat up all the carby ones pre-op so I'm not tempted by pasta post-op. (240 cals)

I'll have a chocolate protein shake for my afternoon snack. (190 cals)

Dinner will be Subway. I'm staying with my mother tonight, since I have to be at the hospital so early tomorrow morning. I don't want to get the kids up at the crack of dawn and lug them over before school. (560 cals)

So tonight, we'll have sammiches and relax and wait for morning.

SO EXCITED FOR YOU!!!!

I don't think having pasta in the house will be that tempting, personally. I dunno. My experience was you were hard pressed to get me to eat anything besides lime jell-o for about two weeks post-op.

I used to love pasta and now it's just not that important to me anymore. Sigh...I lost the taste.

So Subway is your last supper? Seems fitting to me. Mine was some crappy pizza. Had I known then what I know now (namely that chicken and, in general, anything that is fried would become my mortal enemy) I would have had buffalo wings. Lots and lots of buffalo wings.

I pray for a safe journey through surgery and I look forward to making room for you on the loser's bench!
