You'll get a lot of different answers because everyone has different opinions on what's "good". I'm a big fan of quest bars. No soy, low carb, 20 grams protein, 200 calories or less, and they taste good. The vitamin Shoppe is carrying them now or you can order them on line.

I'm assuming you mean 10 day til surgery diet?  We were on optifast, no bars allowed.  Protein bars on the pre-surgery diet are not common, I don't think.

But way after surgery when they do show up on your plan, my favorite are Bariatiric Choice.  Have to be ordered but actually taste like a candy bar.  Pure Protein are ok and have good stats.

I had to do a 2-week liquid only diet before and then another 2-week liquid only diet after the surgery.

On a side note, I really enjoy the Pure Protein Chocolate Peanut Butter protein bars (200 cal ones).  The doc and nutritionist said they were one of the better choices in protein bars.  I get the regular size ones, I think they also make like a "king size" but I am always satisfied with the regular size.

Take care,
Nathan
