What's for (Sunday) dinner?

OMG...I am in the middle of the best faux cheat ever: low-carb, high protein chocolate chip cookies. Recipe forthcoming. Still have a few kinks to work out.

But as for the taste? Let us just say this. I madea  tester batch of 8 cookies. Yelled "cookies!" to which a stampede erupted from my children's bedrooms.

There is one cookie left. 'Nuff said.

S'anyway...dinner...is...chicken of some sort (we eat dinner way too late!)

Here's what else I had today:

1. Veggie omelette with fruit salad and three bites of a friends pancake
2. Six shrimp
3. A Fresco taco from Taco Bell
4. Three brazil nuts
5. A bag of chips after swimming with the divas (boo)
6. Cucumber slices and some hummus
7. One of my protein cookies

Yikes. Today was a big eating day! But then on the weekends I tend to eat more vs. the weekdays when my meals can be sparse. So I HOPE it all evens out. Just in case, I should continue to work out like a demon. That helps.

What's on your plate today?

Can I ask what u mean by pancake bites? Literally 4 bites of a pancake or something else? I know it's a lame question but a pancake sounds really good right now. Lol. Thanks

they are delicious and nothing but trouble!! LOL
They are from eggface's site--- I topped mine with banana, strawberry, apple and turkey sausage. My mini-muffin pan is a 24 hole so I doubled the recipe for even more trouble!!

See I'm the opposite Nik...it's like on the weekends my "pouch off" switch i****  I've gone all day some Saturdays and Sundays before I realize the only thing I've had all day was my protein coffee.

Today's eats:

Breakfast: protein coffee
Brunch: I made this breakfast skillet that was DELISH!
Dinner: Nik's Cheesy Cauliflower Bake (I made w/o the bread crumb topping and added more cheese and broccoli florets) and some baked chicken wings.
Snack: I'm way under my calorie goal so I'll have a protein bar or shake for "desert" while I watch the grammy's

I used to be like that...sigh...then the hunger came back.

Most of the time I make sure to stay way busy on the weekends. Busy trumps head hunger, especially if busy involves clothing shopping, lol. This weekend was pretty chill and I am a boredom eater.

Horrible eating day here!  Oh well.  It was an off day.  I'm allowed every now & then.

B - smoothie made with almond milk, spinach, banana, peanut butter & greek yogurt
S1 - scrambled egg with black pepper cheddar
S2 - fruit & nut bar, chocolate covered granola bar
L - egg salad sandwich
S3 - whole grain english muffin, half with butter & half with pb & nutella
D - chicken parmesan casserole & green beans

Looking back, I didn't eat as badly as I thought.  Just a higher calorie/carb day.  At least there was still mostly healthy stuff in there!

B-the usual...GNC Total Lean Shake & a yogurt
S-one chocolate chip cookie (helping stepdaughter get her Valentine's ready...made sure to send her home with the rest but hubby & I treated ourselves to one each LoL)
L-mostly tuna with some mac & cheese (first pasta experience post op that didn't leave me in agony, I tried it once at Christmas when I made lasagna for a family dinner...did not go well; so this time I set tuna aside for a mostly tuna bowl with a spoonful of the mac & cheese...won't be a frequent meal but it was yummy)
S-GNC Total Lean Shake
D-Sunday is our "special treat" night...mini chicken spring rolls.  Decided on these at the store b/c we had a coupon for a free bag of appetizers, and this one had the less evil stats...only 190 calories, 13g carbs, 8g protein in 5 of them)
S-not sure yet, probably a SF jello or pudding

Weekends are so hard to stay on my weekday food regime.

Gina :~)

PS-Nik get that recipe up for us!  Low carb high protein cookies...yum!
