I saw on Dr. Oz the other day a different way to prepare tuna.... instead of adding mayo, use a ripe avocado mixed with the tuna.
Anyone brave enough to try this and report?

I've tried it.

Not bad. Not the same as using mayo of course, but not bad. You have to use a REALLY ripe avocado or else you’ll spend your life mashing that sucker. But the taste of that fat in avocado is just dreamy.

My favorite way to eat avocados is to slice them and use ttem as a replacement for mayo and cheese on a sandwich. Mmmmmm.

I'm a pretty adventurous eater, so there's not a lot I've never even tried. But there are a few things.

1) Meat. I can make a mean stew, pot roast, or whip up a roast chicken, but I have no idea how to cook a steak, a rack of ribs, chops, or any other large cut of meat. I don't eat much meat and never have, so it's something I've never experimented with.

2) Eggplant. I have no idea what an eggplant looks like inside, and the only time I've ever had it, it grossed me out, all thick and spongey and yuck.

3) Seitan. As a 90% vegetarian, I sould know exactly how to cook with it, but I ave no idea.

4) Persimmons and kumquats. I have no idea how to cut one, or wat you do with it when you do.

Roasted eggplant is the BOMB! You basically cube it (skin it also if you want), toss it in some EVOO (ugh! you made me use a "Rachel-ism!") and a bit of sea salt and fresh ground pepper and roast at 400 for about 12-15 minutes. I eat that straight off the cookie sheet. But in the rare instance that it makes it to something else, I also use it in my quinoa I describe above. it's really good also roasted with sesame oil.

I'm totally willing to give it a try. I just really never knew what to do with it. :)

Quiona and other healthier grains than rice, pasta, potatoes.  My hubby is doing WW trying to be supportive and need to start fixing stuff that will meet his needs and mine.
