What are you eating/doing today? TUESDAY!!!

I can't do it.  Perhaps if I ate my breakfast before I leave for work, say around 6:30ish I might be able to swing it... but I can't eat that early.  I have to prime the pump with a bottle of water before I start putting in any food.

I eat my breakfast sometime between 8 and 9.  If I eat it any later than that I'm a no-go for lunch.  Lunch is usually between noon and 1.  If I don't get a chance to eat it before 9:30 at the latest (and that's not ideal at all!) then I just skip it and eat it for lunch at 11ish.

I do have a "snack" between lunch and dinner.  Usually a protein bar, and that's around 4 or 4:30, to get me through workouts.  Dinner is typically around 8.

I always plan for snacks mid morning and mid afternoon and sometimes in the evening.  I can't eat much at a meal, about 2 oz. of protein, and I'm stuffed.  Breakfast is about 6:30 AM, usually a Click frapp.  After I get to work I might have oatmeal or a protein bar.  Lunch is around 11:30.  Today is a salad with cheese, a few walnuts and carrots.  I have an Isopure RTD for afternoon.  Evening meal is about 5:30 and is protein and veggies.  Evening snack is fresh fruit or cheese.  I do plan my day's eats and keep it within 1100-1200 calories a day and always get in 80-110 grams of protein daily.

Nik, I made your protein pudding but with almond milk.  Needed a straw it was so thin.  It still tasted good.  Making some tonight with milk.  I thought I read you shouldn't use almond milk to make pudding, but wasn't sure.  Now I know.

Today:
Click Frapp
Protein bar
Salad w/cheese, walnuts
Isopure RTD
Split Pea Soup w/WW crackers
Laughing Cow cheese

Yeah when I posted the thing about pudding not setting right with almond or soy milk, I got this huge backlash of emails saying maybe *I* just wasn't making it right. But I actually got that off the box of pudding I use. So in compromise I put that folks should use what they want but my official suggestion is cow's milk.

I'm thinking, though, that perhaps the ratio of milk: pudding is different for soy or almond milk. Perhaps less liquid will make it thicker? I don't know. I don't use either almond milk or soy milk to try it but if you try it and get better results, do let me know so I can add it to the post!

I made the pudding again with skim milk and it's so delicious.  Used cheesecake flavored pudding mix and added chocolate protein powder.  For lunch I added some walnuts and dollop of Cool Whip.  I'll be keeping this stuff made up all the time.

I did notice my pudding made with the almond milk was slightly thicker yesterday after setting for 2 days.  Think I'll try 1 cup of skim milk and maybe a half cup of almond milk.  My tummy isn't real fond of milk so having it every day can be a problem.

Thanks for all the great recipes!!

I really need to eat every 2 hours or so to keep my blood sugar stable.  On weekdays, I split my breakfast into 2 small snacks and eat them at 8:30 and 10:30.  One is usually a protein shake and the other a yogurt/cottage cheese/fruit.  On weekends I usually get up later and eat one "big" breakfast meal around 9:30, which keeps me o****il lunch.

But honestly, I have no trouble eating.  I can eat and eat and eat.  If I let myself, I could eat pretty much nonstop.  Even if I have a good solid meal, I'll be able to eat again about 30 minutes later.  I really have to work to not overeat!

I'm someone else who loves to run.  I love that post-run feeling, but you can also find me with a great big smile on my face DURING my runs too.  My body misses it when I slack off.

Eats today -

One bottle of water in.

Breakfast in - 1/2 cup 0% Fage with 1.5 oz frozen cherries, 0.5 oz Special K Protein Plus, and 2 tbsp ground flax.

Decaf coffee with Splenda and FF non dairy creamer - waiting for me.

Lunch will be 1/2 cup cottage cheese with 1/4 cup nsa fruit ****tail.  I'm not feeling eating today.

In addition I have my planned extras in case I get hungry or stuck here longer...

3 oz fresh pineapple, a hard boiled egg, a protein bar and some protein powder.

No workouts planned for today.  I have a council meeting from 3-5, my son has a band concert at 5, my daughter has a soccer game at 6... I'm going to be stretched pretty thin!  But I'll get to all of it!

Hopefully not everything in the house.
I am on steroids and have been since surgery. This last week has been really rough. It's a gnawing constant hunger. It's like it makes the pouch go away and I can eat so much more than normal. In addition I can eat food now that I haven't been able to eat in years..food high in phosphrus (peanut butter!) and potassium.
Today I'm making chili, eating jerky (it takes a long time to chew),and I'm thinking about cooking some apple/cherry dessert off Eggface's site. The steroid doses continue to go down. I will be so grateful to be on a low dose of those!
I have to drink 2 litres of fluid a day. That's helping a little bit.
I'm also able to walk more and it's sunny today!

Good day so far......

Had my annual mamogram about a week ago, got a call back for another, they didn't like what they saw, so ultrasound today and I'm CLEAR!!!!  Yippee!!!  (big stress for me because my mom died of BC at 39, I'm 41)

Drive to the airport tonight for my son's early morning flight out to National Civilian Conservation Corps in Iowa -- I'll do a road trip out there in the summer.  My house is emptying out.

Eats so far:

coffee
apple
pizza (going away lunch for my son)
dinner out.....

Swimming tonight.

I am so glad it is clear.  I just posted almost the exact same thing.  I had my annual mammogram this morning.  My mom was diagnosed at 40 and I am 41.

Breakfast this morning was 2/3C eggbeaters, scrambled, with a spoonful of salsa. A slice of low carb, 35-cal toast with a smear of strawberry jam, and two big bottles of water.

I'm making truffles this morning for a few clients, so I have to be extra diligent to keep my fingers out of the leftover truffle filling and just toss it straight into the trash.

I missed my second gym class today due to sick kiddos, but I'm having a dinner party tomorrow and then getting a new bed delivered, so I'll be spending the day cleaning house and moving furniture.

Lunch will likely be a chopped turkey burger patty on greens, with olives, red onion, tomato, and a drizzle of light italian.

Not sure on dinner yet. Probably greek yogurt and a protein shake.
