TUESDAY!!!

(It’s really not that exciting, is it?)

Today is a regular day for me. Work, home to feed the kiddos, then to the gym. I think Paul is going to get his commission as I think I’ve been bitten by the running bug. I just have to figure out what I should eat when and in what proximity to running.

Peanut butter or any sort of nut butter in my day prior to running seems to help me out a lot. Just generally having carbs in my system? Does not. So there must be some strategy to this that I’m just not getting. I will figure it out (and when I say “IÂ", I mean Paul ;) So that’s my exercise plan for today. Do my little interval routine I’ve been doing, which seems to yield about 3.5 miles in 36 minutes. By next week I should be able to step it up a notch (let us hope).

Who’da thunk I’d look forward to running? But then again talk to me again when I start running outside on real terrain. My whole opinion might change. Anyhoo, I’m also planning on doing the first of my three weekly weight lifting sessions this evening.

As for eats:

1. ½ piece WW bread with 1 tbsp natural chunky PB (about 9-ish grams protein)

2. About to have a Click Frapp in a moment (41.5 grams protein)

3. I am trying to recruit my co-worker to go to the Thai place with me in which case they have this awesome steamed seafood and veggie dish. (I’d guesstimate it’s about 25g of protein)

4. My other scoop of Click, hot, in the afternoon (7.5g protein)

5. I’m making roast beef with potatoes and carrots for dinner. My mom taught me a neat money saving trick. She gets boneless chuck steaks instead of a roast. The cost per pound tends to be less AND of course the weight is less with no bone. Anyway, I’m going to have mine with some riced cauliflower and carrots. The divas love them some potatoes. (Beef probably has 25-ish grams protein)

6. After the gym I’ll have some Greek yogurt or something. Protein after weight lifting is important!!! (I'll likely have a half cup - which is 12g protein - with some Fiber One Twigs)

So that's about 118g protein for the day. I can live with that.

Question: How come on # 2 your Click Frapp is 41g protein but on #4 it's only 7.5g? I'm so confused!.

Because a Click Frapp and Click are two different things :)

Click Frapp = 8 oz. milk (8g protein), 1 scoop Click (7.5g protein), 1 scoop chocolate whey (26g protein).

Hot Click is simply one scoop (7.5g protein) with water.

Hope that helps.

I'm on call this week for work starting today until next Tuesday morning.  *Sigh* My routine might get a few monkey wrenches thrown into it.

My eats for today are

B: Protein Coffee
S: Carrot Sticks
L: Chicken breast and roasted veggies
S: Pure Protein bar
D: Home made "chiptole" bowl

Tonight my cardio night at the gym so I'm hoping to at LEAST get in a good workout before this dayum cell phone starts going off.  *Sigh* It's going to be a long long week.

My eating has been off the past couple days (thank you Super Bowl + leftovers), and I'm feeling it today.  I feel sluggish & bloated.  Ugh.  Plus my eating plan has already been thrown off by some bad yogurt I brought to work for breakfast.

Here's my plan for today:
B - 1/2 vanilla Oh Yeah shake
S - string cheese & blueberries
L - mixed greens with steak & low fat italian dressing
S - cottage cheese & Fiber One brownie
D - pork roast, broccoli and brown rice

I think I'll need to end the day with a protein coffee to get my numbers up!

I have a question for the general WAYET thread responders.

I see many folks have a snack between breakfast and lunch. How do you manage that? Most days I eat something very small very, very early in the morning (5) and then my "breakfast" is at about 10. I'm wondering how the breakfast and morning snack are spaced. Try though I might, if I eat breakfast at any normal time, I ain't eating again until lunch.

Evening...that seems to be when I can eat limitlessly for some reason...

I do 3 meals and 3 snacks to keep my metabolism running.  I don't have much restriction and I stay hungry so to prevent me from overeating and to make sure I get my protein in I tend to eat every 2-2.5 hours.
I can do this!

My "breakfast" is protein coffee in the car on the way to the office (6:30-7AM).  My "snack" is usually around 10AM.  So really...my "snack" IS my breakfast.  I drink about 2 14oz mugs of tea or coffee between 5:30 and 6:30 as I'm getting dressed for work so usually by 10AM I'm STARVING because I haven't had anything solid in my tummy.

I've noticed that on the weekends when I get up later I don't snack and I'm not hungry as much which is strange because I'm in a house full of food and temptation and its like I don't even think about it.  On Saturday and Sundays, I'll drink my protein coffee around 9-10AM, have brunch/lunch around 12ish and then dinner around 6 and I'm good for the day.  It's weird.
