What are you eating/doing today? Manic Monday...

Yeah. I ate too much yesterday. WAY too much yesterday. Wasn't the Superbowl. I only watched half the game. Nope. Just plain old "Nikki was bored and kept eating." Boo. I hate it when I do that crap.

But today is a new day. I've resolved to forgive myself and move on. But of course my pouch is a little miffed at me.

My plan for the day:

1. 1/2 c. Greek yogurt with a bit of natural PB and Splenda (already had that)
2. Probably a hot Click later on this morning
3. Curried chickpeas
4. If I don't have the Click this morning (and it's likely I won't) then I'll have it in the afternoon
5. I am going to make roast beef with potatoes and carrots for dinner. I'll have a bit of beef and carrots.
6. A protein dessert I've been tinkering with.

My goal is to get to the gym today. Unfortunately that means skipping support group, but thankfully we have two meetings a month. I'll go to the next one!

Sipped slow and no problems. I figure it's about the same caffinee as black tea which I have drank since the hospital.

And you may be in my business anytime you want, I am here to learn.

Well thank you for your graciousness! So long as limited amounts of caffeine are allowed on your plan, I won't nag you about it.

I am something of an "old timer" in this process so when I had surgery, they told us to avoid caffeine at first like the plague the first few months due to increased risk of ulcers. But I realize you "youngins" might have different rules. ;)

I did too. Damn pita chips.

1. Protein Shake
2. Apples n Peanut Butter
3. Bananas and cottage cheese
4. Chobain and Kashi
5. Quest bar (?)
6. ....dunno....

I haven't figured out what the end of my day looks like. I have a therapy appointment after work and then the gym. I may do half a Quest bar enroute, the other half later. I'm not sure. I get home later today.

Nikki,
Anymore, I have been struggling with my eating. Eating too much and eating the WRONG stuff.
I have slowly seen the scale go up (15 pounds from my lowest). For the past week, I have been trying to detox from the pretzels, crackers, cookies (darn Girl Scouts). Sad thing is, I know that I should not be eating these things, mainly because they are trigger foods for me. Once I start on them, I start to go on the food binge and before I know it, I am at 1800 to 2000 calories and my carb count is through the roof!
I have lost 5 of the 15 pounds, but I need to remind myself to knock off the nonsense with the pretzels and crackers. It is so easy for that scale to go back up and not so easy for it to go back down. How I miss the "honeymoon" period when I just physically could not eat the stuff. So for now, I will keep plugging along and try to stay focused on why I had this surgery in the first place.
As of now, food for the day -
PreB - Green tea
B - 1 slice of rye toast w/turkey bacon
Snack - Hardboiled egg w/1 string cheese
L - Tilapia w/broccoli
S - Orange w/greek yogurt
D - Chicken with a salad
Snack - Protein something - I am low for the day. Maybe a Click somewhere in there.
Have a great day everybody.

I ate not enough yesterday, but that's typical weekend for me.  I forget to eat.

I'm back on my usual weekly schedule today.

One bottle of water in.  Decaf coffee with Splend and 5 tsp creamer in .

0% Fage with Splenda, frozen cherries, Special K Protein Plus and ground flax in.

3 sticks of gum.

For lunch I have a black bean burger patty, a wedge of laughing cow cheese and a pear.  Might or might not be able to eat it all.

In addition I have some protein powder, a protein bar, and a Larabar if the need arises.

I need to get 3 more bottles of water in minimum.
