You have been given some good advice and the only thing that I might add is to ask your PCP for water therapy. It is wonderful for joint pain. I actually did water aerobics that got rid of sciatica pain. I hope your condition will improve soon.

It sounds like you may have a lot of potential eating triggers, and those can be very individual.  I would suggest finding a counselor who can help you look at your triggers and work with you to find ways to combat them (what works to combat them can also be a very individual thing) because doing so will be one of the keys to long-term weight loss success.

Sounds like you might need a hobby also to keep your mind and hands busy.  When you have time (i know this personally) to sit around and do nothing but think you tend to start going a bit stir crazy. You really need to get into some therapy for your hip and get that taken care of so you can go moble again.  The more down you stay the harder it will be for your muscles to start working again.  All these people have awesome ideas.

Btw..i was born in Plentywood and lived in the Williston area.  Is that where your husband is working?  Because that part of the world is very very busy and rich these days.  I have wished i could be there to make some money but the crime and lack of housing is also out of hand and thus i am glad i am no longer living in that part of the world.  I now live in Minnesota.  ha!!

Take care and heed these peoples advice..

Hi,  Yes, my hubby is working close to Williston. He works in the Whatford City area, which is fairly close to Williston.

I am going to get my hands busy doing a bunch of hand sewing. I like it and it should help. Besides mending I'm going to make a few throw pillows once i get the right material.  I'm going to make 3-D roses on them.  that should be fun.

Thanks to you and everyone. marie

Good morning...we are opposite in that I am usually up by 2ish.  I have been up since 1:40 am.

Without a doubt triggers for me that cause overeating...other than the emotional ones....are carbs like bread, pasta, rice, crackers and of course sweets...but actually pasta and bread are the worst.  If I limit my carb intake from just vegetables and fruits and stay away from the "white" stuff, I do not have cravings and do okay.  If something upsets me, that is a different story and requires nothing less than prayer and a commitment not to overeat.  I eat alot of SF Popsicles in the evening.  I will also eat yogurt in the evenings if I get hungry.  I will also drink a shake, and sometimes I will have some popcorn, I know white stuff, but I try to limit how much and how often.
