Leaving hospital later today

I was just amazed that a hospital with a large, COE WLS program would not have a low sugar full liquid diet offering!  And why in the WORLD would they mince all the protein offerings on the regular menu.  It certainly FELT like I was eating cat food!

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.

That really is crazy. When you said minced, all I could think of was the food I feed my cat Bailey (Minced Chicken with Gravy). It most likely it was cheap cuts of meat that could not be used, so it was sold cheaply, and prepared in the only form that was close to a sellable, edible food (if they want to call it that).Once you get yourself together, you might think of paying a visit to the hospital administrator. Food services are contracted out these days, but  they have to meet the obligations of the contract or it could be canceled. I think  the health risk you were subjected to would most likely fall into a reason they would legally be able to cancel their contract, or force changes. They won;t change to the next lowest bidder next time unless they have feedback which comes from people like you. PITA I know, but worth it is case you ever have a return trip.

I hope you keep getting better!
