My definition is that of the Mayo Clinc and having a tummy ache does not mean you're dumping.  Symptoms of dumping include things like a rapid heart rate, sweating, lightheadedness, fatigue in addition to a tummy ache and sometimes nausea/vomiting/diarrhea.

I don't, but it may be because I avoid sweets, sugar alcohol, and fats. Dumping sounds so scary that I am avoiding it as best I can.

I am 3-plus years post-op and have never dumped.  Once in awhile I may eat something that makes me feel a little icky, but that's the extent of it. Usually within 10 minutes even the icky passes.

I've also never thrown up.

I've never dumped off refined sugar...not sure if its because I have kept it below my threshhold or what.  I don't want to increase the amounts to find out either.  But I was able to have a small slice of pumpkin pie on Thanksgiving with no problems.  HOWEVER...I do dump on things I thought would be good for me.  I cannot eat greek yogurt with any granola on it.  1/4th cup of low sugar (5grams or less) on top will cause me to dump hard!  I did that last summer and then again a month ago because I forgot!  Fast heartbeat, nausea, followed by a powernap.  Completely knocked out!

I was sad at first because I thought that would be my back up plan if I ate unhealthy. I do not dump and I now watch my sugars very closely. I WAS a sugar addict but not anymore. I limit my sweets to twice a week sf chocolate.

I don't dump thank goodness, but sometimes I wished I did as I know that would be more helpful for me to stay away from sweets.  But I am determined not to allow myself to think I can "get away" with eating that stuff.  It's not healthy and I want to keep eating healthy.

I don't know if I do but hope not to find out. I'm only 3 1/2 months out and haven't tested those waters.

I don't dump.. .  I will get racing heart if I really overdo it with sugar.. seriously bad... like 30-40 grams?  I do get RH episodes if I eat too many refined carbs without protein.
