Anybody in their early 20's goin through WLS process
I am right here with you! I am 23 hrs old and just had my surgery this past Tuesday. I thought at first I could do it on my own but after years of failing I figured why not use this amazing tool thatis available. The best part is, since we are younger we recover quicker, heal faster, and our skin still has stretchyness to it. The possibility of less excess skin is way better than someone in their 40's. Plus when we work out since we are younger, our bodies should be able to handle more. Feel free to keep in touch, I'd love to hear about your progress. Being younger the ore support we can get, the better the results I think! Best of luck with everything!
Thanks & Congrats, good for u for takin this step. I hope I do get approved when the time comes and I heal just as fast. I've been tryin to lose weight for yrs it isnt EASY...and alot of people think becuz we are younger it should be...Well they are Wrong..I just dont want to wait til its too late, and if I can get this amazing help NOW.. Y not do it... Keep me posted on your recovery, wish nothin but the best for u and your new Life!!
I am 26 and having surgery on Feb 6th... I got looks too---- but I am also I guess what they would call a lightweight. I am morbidly obese, but in some of those seminars I felt down-right sexy.... but my doctor told me... I am preventing the higher weight and the diseases that go along with it by doing this at my age....
As long as you are mature and understand that you are still responsible for your own body than you will do just fine :)

Thanks I appreciate the feedback...My my Doctor said the same thing hypertension, diabetes, high cholesterol run in my family and I am yet to get it..Thank God!! When I went to the seminar I was like OK I'm the only young one here...At first I felt weird being there.. But then I said to myself I don't want to wait until I get to there age to finally do something...I wish u nothing but the best of luck and a safe, healthy and fast recovery. Plz keep me posted..

I'm 24 and I began looking into this process around your age. I regret not following through because I now have diabeties, high bp , and my pcos is out of control (although i was in the gym regularly, and was doing weigh****chers) . I am now finishing the process (only 2 appts to go) and my advice is FORGET WHAT OTHER PEOPLE HAVE TO SAY. !!!!
I listened to others and ended up stressing myself out, getting all F's my senior yr of college (so i had to stay an extra year to make it up), and constantly going to er for extremely uncontrolled blood sugars...oh yea...i forgot to mention I gained 40 lbs in the process.
please please please think positive and do whats best for you.
