Surgeon didn't put me on a PPI after surgery..

I was started on nexium once a day prior to surery.  I was found to have gastritis after my endoscopy.  They even asked me if I had frequent heartburn prior to this, which I never really remember having it so much.

Since surgery I have had 2 bouts of gastritis and have had to treat it with carafate 4-6 times a day in addition to increasing my nexium to twice daily.  I cant tolerate tomatoes, oranges, or spicy foods so well at the moment.  I am trying to stay clear of them, but it sucks to eat such a bland diet all the time. 

I would mention to your surgeon about the burnign pouch tho'.  Just in case!
