Well, I'm not Kelly, but I personally use the Trader Joe's sublingual B12 daily, which melts really fast, because we can't swallow the B12 due to a lack of Intrinsic Factor which is what allows the uptake of the vitamin to occur. So, sublingual is what we need to use.
For a Vitamin B Complex, I like to use the GNC liquid which just involves a dropperful into a glass of water (about 4 oz) and it is pretty tasteless.
Have you had your labs yet? What do they show? Are you showing anything on the low end of normal?
Please be sure to get hard copies of your results so you can see for yourself how these are doing. Often our doctors just tell us "you're doing fine" and you may or may NOT be "doing fine".
Best wishes,

I don't take a B complex at all, it my labs also don't show that I need one. I do, however, take a sublingual b12 (5000) once a week. What do your labs say? How much you take really should be based on what your levels are not some arbitrary number.

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.
The ASMBS says it's optional. I don't take it and my labs show my B1, B6 and B9 are all great. So I would add it if your labs show your B vitamins are on the low side.
Please note: I AM NOT A DOCTOR. If you want medical advice, talk to your doctor. Whatever I post, there is probably some surgeon or other health care provider somewhere that disagrees with me. If you want to know what your surgeon thinks, then ask him or her. Check out my blog.
I know your question has already been answered, but I wanted to add something to this. :)
A few months or so before my surgery, I'd started taking B Complex just because I thought I needed it since I didn't have much energy. It turns out that your body will eliminate the excess if you don't need it. The first time I urinated and it was BRIGHT yellow (think highlighter color!) I kinda freaked out. I then went and researched it and found it was my body getting rid of the excess B vitamins that it didn't use.
I would wait and get your lab results done, though, before going and buying something you may not even need.
