silly OT question about lack of sleep and fever
I have not slept well for the past three nights (less than 4 hours per night, and last night it was only 2.5). I had a brief nap on Sunday, but even after taking Lunesta (which usually works well for me) last night did not sleep. It is a combination of stress and a recent incident sending my PTSD into overdrive.
i came home this afternoon to try to get a nap and noticed how flushed my face was. I have a low grade fever (99.8) but don't feel bad at all. Anyone know if lack of sleep can give you a slight fever (or if maybe I am coming down with something)?

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.
I know that lack of sleep & chronic stress makes my immune system tank pretty quickly, so you may be coming down with something or your body is just fighting the stress. I hope you start getting rest soon & the stress/anxiety under wraps!!

In my experience it sure can.
Early in my career I worked many many many hours a day to prove to myself and my managers that I could do the work and deliver faster than anticipated.
Days I would work 18-22 hours I would feel like I had the flu or something. Fever loss of appetite and unable to fall asleep. If I am up more than 18 hours I won't be able to easily fall asleep, usually takes a borning movie or something mind numbing like that.
Good Luck and hope you can soon get some rest.
