wine
You just had surgery in November?
Umm..no..not a great idea.
Reasons not to drink...
lots of sugar/could make you dump
hard on your already taxed liver (your liver is working overtime to process all the fat you are breaking down)
goes right to your head
and a boatload of empty calories.
This early the focus shoud be about gettting fluids and protein. Not wine

No way. Too soon. I waited until the one year mark.
If you really want to get to your goal weight, you need to focus on getting protein and not too many carbs right now. Develop good habits.

I agree. It's way too early to even be thinking about drinking! I'm really not interested in it at all anymore. And from the looks of it, it doesn't even seem worth it. My mom had gastric in August of 2010 and from time to time, she'll drink a little wine. She very rarely dumps, but wine sometimes really makes her sick. Just seeing the way it makes her feel makes me never want to even look at a bottle of wine. Lol. She's over a year out and there's not much that bothers her. Wine just makes her miserable sometimes. I can't imagine how it would make a recent post op feel.
