How are you doing so far?  I've had both multis, my magnesium oxide, my vitamin A and two doses of calcium.  I need one more dose of calcium and then my iron and C at bedtime.  I'm on the ball today!  Actually, posting this helps me make sure I get them in.  I just went and took my afternoon vites a few minutes ago so I could post that I took them!  And I got some more caramel calcium chews so that makes me want to get my calcium in because they are so yummy.  I've also had about 30 grams of protein and 30 ounces of liquid so far.

I've had one multi, my extra Vit D, one dose of calcium and my prevacid (not a vit but on my list of pills to pop daily)

I've had 10 g of protein so far and behind on my liquids...I'm going to be eating or drinking every hour now until bedtime :P

Thanks for the post Kelly

Meat is about seven grams protein per ounce, so your chicken was about 14 grams protein.

Also, if this helps, three ounces of meat is about the size of a deck of cards.

Had my first multi, calcium, b12 and folic acid this am, second round of calcium after lunch, just took 3rd round of calcium and D3, will taken prenatal and folic acid this evening and iron before bed.
I take and additional 2mg of Folic acid aside from what's in the multi and prenatal because of a blood abnormality and the fact that I'm nurishing a second life!
I've done good with protein at 100+ so far and haven't had dinner yet.

Took my multi and all B's this morning, will take calcium when I get home and then Iron before bed.  That is all that I take and my labs came back fine, so I get concerned that some of you are taking so much stuff, but I am fine with what I am taking so maybe just stick with that until I find out different?

I have really low Iron, my CBC come back pretty low....so iron is my biggest concern

You take calcium more than once a day, right?

The other stuff I take, like D3, A and zinc, is based on my labs.  Those were low.  You don't need to take anything else unless your labs show you do.

But was your vitamin D level really good without taking any extra beyond what's in your multi and calcium?  You would be the first post op I've ever known that did not need to take more D3.  I've known a couple that did OK with 5000 IU a day, but most need at least 10,000 IU a day, some more than that.  For instance, I need to take 50,000 three or four times a week, which works out to about 28,000 a day.

No, my D3 was fine, I can look up my lab work on the computer for the exact number, but like I said the only low number is the CBC, so I take extra iron.

How would I know I need D3 other then lab work?  Is there a way I might feel or something that might be going on in my body that I might notice?

No, you'd know it by the lab work.  We need it to be at least 80.  I am curious to know what yours is.  Like I said, I talk to lots of people about their labs and vitamins and have not known one post op to keep their level above 80 on less than 5000 IU a day.

Ok, I checked my labs.  On 9/22 (so it was a few months ago) I took a Vit D 25-Hydroxy test and the normal range is 32.00 to 100.00 and mine came back 32.8 and then under it is says

"Recent studies consider the lower limit of 32.0 ng/mL to be a threshold for optimal health."

Is that the test for all Vit D or is there a test for just Vit D?  Because if there is my doctor didn't order it, that and the B, blood count, protein and lipid panel are all he took.

If there are other test let me know cause I can ask my PCP to order them ASAP and I see her at the end of this month
