The only thing I got rid of was my HCTZ for borderline high blood pressure.  Still take my Zoloft, Ambien and Synthroid from pre-surgery.

Since surgery - added Multi 2X day, Prilosec once a day, Calcium 3X day (I do horrible at getting it in), Biotin and Zinc once a day plus an herbal supplement for menopuase.  Plus my B12 injection once a month.

So I swapped one pill for an additional 12.  I am not great at taking my vitamins.  I do not take iron - my surgeon does not have it in her protocol.

My multi's are chewables, but I take 3 pills that are prescription medications (thyroid, blood thinner, etc.), 3 calcium pills (the other two doses are powder and chews), and 5 other vitamin pills (biotin, K, D, etc.).  So 11.

Plus, the B12 sublingual and iron which I only take once a week.

I take almost as many pills for poo problems as I do vitamins! Counting all multiple chewables and everything I take or chew it's 18 pills a day. Oh, and Mirilax in my nightly protein tea. Pre-op I was on 8 RX meds, now the only thing I take is 2 for thyroid. So that's 20 a day.

I also was totally overwhelmed with the amount of pills and how to keep on top of the times.  I found a pill container at Walgreens, it's a little pricey at $10 but it a  lifesaver for me.  It holds a weeks worth of vitamins and has 5 compartments for each day.

UGH! 27!!!! And that's not counting all of the liquid medicines that I take! Between vitamins, psych meds, stomach meds, poopy meds, etc, I take a LOT!!! I never really thought about just how many different things I'm on now. I guess I just try to block it out of my mind, since I'm on WAY more now than I ever was before my surgery. Bleh! So, yep, 27 pills/vits, plus 3 more liquid meds that I take 3 times a day. Hmmm....now I need to just forget that number and move on.
