My Year in Review

As I wait for the ball to drop I've been reflecting on my year this year.

It started out with my three year surgiversary and owning up to my regain. My surgeon wasn't really concerned about it as I ended up just a few pounds higher than he predicted. Of course, it was the end of the world to me.

I exercised a LOT this year. My big milestone (Paul would chuckle) is running 2 miles at a 10 minute mile on the treadmill. Amazing since I HATE to run. Developed an abiding passion for Body Pump this year - an intense, full body strength workout. Then I quit the Y and joined Bally's after meeting the most prolific Zumba instructor ever. Now she's been let go so guess where 2012 will find me. At the Y!!!

Relationships...oy...I had a boyfriend in 2011 but it just wasn't right. He was the girl and I was the really jerky guy and i did not like that!!! I sort of miss him for all the wrong reasons, if you know what I mean.

Bariatric Foodie: I went solo this year and managed to accomplish a lot of what I set out to do. Still working on getting my protein shake recipe book out but managed to hold two great events in two cities and sell my Survival Kits successfully. This is the year BF came into its own and started having companies reach out to me to do product reviews and giveaways. That tickled me. This was my little blog that I started to document my food obsession and now it's...well it is what it is!

Food. I am not as obsessed with it nowadays. I can eat a lot more of it. I'm still mindful of course, but I don't plan down to the microcalorie the way I used to. I feel liberated.

My body. I kinda like it. I have a booty and boobs. Hourglass figure. Size 12 in most things, sometimes a 10. Which is two sizes smaller than what I originally hoped for going into surgery. So that's pretty sweet.

Finances. Sucked as usual. I'm going to short sell my house early next year. Seriously thinking of filing bankruptcy and starting over. I haven't decided yet. Whatever happens, I know SOMETHING needs to change in that respect. I did my budget for next year in Excel as I usually do but it is TIGHT. We'll survive. God takes care of us very well. Big budget announcement is that I have decided to start tithing for the first time in my life. It's the right thing to do and I've always wanted to do it so I'm gonna go for it.

There's much more to my year but I don't want to bore you. Just the highlights.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

 Happy New Year!

Tithing is wonderful.  It makes a person feel good to give and then they feel great when they see the rewards reaped from giving.
