You can put the drops under  your tongue. It will get absorbed the same way as sublinguals.

Ok ..... my multi-vitamin is from Bariatric Advantage (berry flavor) and it makes me sick to my stomach when I take it. Do I have to get a chewable or can I get one that I can swallow?

Oh, good question.  The ASMBS says it's fine to swallow vitamins as soon as you tolerate it.  Of course, the only way to know if you tolerate it is to swallow one and see.  But many of us were swallowing pills while we were still in the hospital.

Kelly, I went and did my homework. For the most part you are right on the money. I did find the following interesting, though:

Both provide 36mg of iron. Celebrate doubles Centrum's Vitamin K, and to varying degrees provides more than Centrum's thiamin, riboflavin, B6 (4 vs 12mg), vitamin B12 (12 vs 350mcg), biotin (90 vs 600mcg), magnesium, chromium (40 vs 200mcg), and molybdenum (40 vs 75mcg), vitamin C, vitamin D, vitamin A (although Centrum uses higher a % of beta-carotene.

My confession is that before tonight I didn't know to take two multi's. And it wasn't until last night that I learned about the B12 drops. You are a fountain of information, and we are blessed that you are willing to share it. Thank you,

Hattie

Thanks for looking up the numbers.  I was feeling too lazy.

The fact that Centrum uses a higher percent of beta carotene is not a good thing, because we don't absorb that very well.  retinyl acetate or palmitate works better for use.

And!!! Centrum chewable's calcium comes from carbonate!  Just found it on my bottle in the fine print.  Yuk!

Okay -- LAST TIME -- I promise!  Centrum has the carbonyl iron while Celebrate has ferrous fumarate.  Good night

Yeah, and I think the carbonyl is a better choice.  I really like Celebrate vitamins, at least for the most part, and I like the company because they have fantastic customer service.  But they say they use ferrous fumarate because they think it's absorbed best but I don't think it is.

I take the celebrate multi capsules. I also take iron. The chewable vitamins already have iron.
