What are you eating/doing today? Last working day of 2011!

THANK GAWD!

Well my last working day of 2011 was Dec. 22 but I digress.

Today I need to catch up on what I was supposed to be doing all week but have not. I've been battling this cold and I must say the cold has been winning!

Eats today:

1. Protein PB oatmeal
2. two turkey/cheese stick roll-ups
3. Cinnamon-caramel cottage cheese with Fiber One
4. Southwest Chickne
5. I'm thinking of making this hazelnut pie one of my BF readers posted on the BF Facebook page, but with protein. If so, I'll have a slice!

I am off work YEAH! Nothing to do, or nothing I want to do. I am lazing around with my lil pup.
I will probably start off the day with a protien hot chocolate and wander into town for a little shopping, or not.
Hazelnut pie sounds really good.

I am on vacation this week!  My big thing this week was I met with the exercise guru at my surgeon's office on Tuesday and since Wednesday I have started my new exercise routine.  Figure it's good to end the year with a new habit. 

I don't do good at planning food ahead - and I need to do better at that.  Today I think I will have:

1.Protein Coffee drink
2.  One slice of light bread with LF swiss and turkey (and I do add regular mayo)
3.  Apple slices with a tablespoon of peanut butter
4.  1 oz 2% cheddar cheese with 3 whole wheat saltines
5.  Probably one of my lean cusines for dinner - hubby is working with a small salad with low fat cheese
6.  edame to nosh on later

I have a horrible time planning my food. Need to get better at that.
So far its been 1c milk with NSA instant breakfast and 1/2 scoop protein powder mixed in. Then I heated it in the microwave and added a healthy splash of coffee. Not my fave but good dose of protein. Now I'm having Greek yogurt with sf pudding and dark cherries chopped up.
Lunch will be a scoop of the dinner concoction I made Wed. Sautee onion, Bell pepper, carrot, and celery. Add some garlic. Then brown your meat (i used venison) once its browned add in soaked dried beans, lentils, Brown rice or quinoa, and chicken stock. Simmer til done then season to your liking.
Dinner will most likely be out so we can skip the crowds tomorrow night!

 Doing: have 5 clients this afternoon so will be too busy to exercise. Again. For the 14th day in a row. Ugh.... gotta get my butt in gear about this! Shouldn't I have more money for working this hard? The paradox of private practice: working like a fiend but broke as all get out!

Eating:
B- greek yogurt with Torani chocolate syrup, 2oz pot roast
S- cocopop with Laughing Cow garlic & herb wedge and pepperoni slices
L - Syntrax Nectar Vanilla Bean Torte protein powder with Soy Slender Vanilla soymilk
D- um.... more pot roast? Maybe some veggies?

Yesterday was my last work day of 2011 :) Of course, I work the first day of 2012, so it's a trade-off.

So far today, after having a bit of a lie-in, I've had:

Hot peppermint mocha
Light and Fit Peach yogurt
Vanilla-Almond Quest Bar
Dasani Strawberry H2O (what's left of the bottle from last night, it's okay, not a new fav)

Plans for the rest of the day include:
More liquids
Hard-boiled egg
String Cheese
Clementines
Fish and veggies

I was cleared for mushies today....so along with my nectar pink grapefruit drinks, I enjoyed 1/2 of cottage cheese.....I never tasted anything so good in my life! LOL

I'm still in my first week of pureed food.
B-8 oz protein shake. WooHoo! First time to get a whole 8 oz.
S-light n fit yogurt 3 oz
L-2 oz chicken with 1/2 tsp BBQ sauce
S-2 oz tuna with 1/2 tsp light mayo
D-??? Not sure. Maybe some refried beans

  Still pre-op and trying to get back to losing after a bad Christmas week (up 4#).

 Took my fiancee out for lunch, we slept in so only the two meals today, think I made some better choices today.

 B: just meds and vitamin water zero

 L: Steak salad w/fat free dressing. It had some french fries in it but I ate around most of them

 S: 1oz Roasted almons and coffee with 2TBS fat-free creamer and splenda

 D: Grilled chicken breast wrapped in ham with 1oz cheese and mushrooms on a spinich bed
