"Just the Cheese" snacks at a reasonable price?!?

I just love these cheese snacks, but they are just ridiculously expensive ($15 for 16 half-ounce packages or $3 for a 2 ounce package are the best prices I have found)!!  Has anyone seen them for a better price anywhere?

The ones I have been able to make at home aren't as flavorful or as crunchy no matter what I do to the cheese.

These are right up my alley (could be dangerous)! Thyere kind of high in calories and fat..
Do you eat the whole bag or a serving?

serving is 0.5oz, I think. Early out, once I was doing solids, I wouldn't be able to do a whole 0.5oz bag at a time but now it's much easier. Yummy!

Those half-ounce bags, which are TINY, are one serving.... but I sometimes -- porbably more times than not -- actually eat two at a time (gasp! horrors! quick, call the food police!)... but I am also 4.5 years out.  If I get the 2-ounce bag, I generally eat half.

Interestingly, it says a serving is one bag BUT that a serving is about 22 pieces.  The problem is, the bag holds only half that amount...  about 11 pieces... so I have no idea how many actual calories and fat are in a half-ounce bag!

Honestly, even though I am much more sensitive to fat than suger (even now), I don't worry at all about the calories and fat in these, but, again, I am 4.5 years out.  The calories are easily included in my daily intake and about the only fat I have in my diet comes from dairy, nuts, and red meat (and occasional light mayo and real butter and my beloved spponful of Haagen Dazs), so I don't sweat the fat, either.  When I was first post-op my skin and hair were horribly dry from lack of fat in my diet.  I added almonds and more full-fat cheeses as snacks (rather than yogurt) in order to get enough fat into my diet.

Amazon has them on subscribe & save for $12, so if you eat them on a regular basis, the savings might be worth it....

Yeah, but  that's still outrageously expensive for a snack item... and I simply won't pay it on ANY kind of regular basis.  I treated myself to a box for Christmas, though!

I do see that Netrition has dropped their price just a bit ($2.39 for 2 ounces of most types), but they only carry one of my favorite flavors :(

I've only tried the grilled cheese flavor, which I LOVED, but all the flavors seem yummy.  But, as you said, the price has prevented me from experimenting with other flavors.  Which do you like the best?

I like the grilled cheese and the jalapeno the best.  Nacho and cheddar are both pretty good, too.
