Yeah to the University for closing the week between Christmas and New Years...that means, I get to paint...my bedroom first (a lovely mushroomy taupe color with white trim) and then my guest room (it will be a cinnamon spice color). Do you sense a food color palette? Oh and I went to the gym this morning and did a restorative yoga session.

B: egg/turkey sauage/honeydew melon

L: Veggie Burger/edamame/refried beans

S: going to try a nice salted caramel protein hot chocolate (thanks to Bariatric Foodie's recipe!)

D: Southwestern Chicken Barley Stew - tossed salad

S: Cup O'Tea with a Ghiradelli 72% dark chocolate square

Tell me about restorative yoga... My studio offers this but I have yet to try it.  I stick to power and mixed level yogas.

I returned to the office today for the first time since my surgery just over 2 weeks ago.  It's nice being around more people again!!

Breakfast (already ate):
1/3 of a piece of spinach/artichoke quiche from Starbucks Cafe

Lunch (eating now):
about 1/2 cup chicken florentine soup (eating around the noodles since I haven't had them since surgery and not sure how I'll handle them!)

Dinner will be:
3-4oz tilapia mashed up with about 1/2 tsp mashed potato

Possible snacks that I brought to work in case I get hungry:
imitation crab meat (can usually eat 1.5 sticks, not quite a full serving)
3oz fat free refried beans w/guacamole

I will also drink 2 protein drinks at 30g protein each (Premier Protein).

Okay, I'm in with everyone on getting back on track.  Mine isn't with food, if anything I haven't been eating ENOUGH of it.

I also haven't been drinking much (any?) water since I was off work last Wednesday.  Nor have I been taking my vitamins as usual.  I do horrible once I get off my schedule.  When I'm at work they sit in the pill container in front of me on my desk and I just take them.  Same with my water.  I'm only on bottle number 3 right now (at almost 1pm), but that's 3 more than yesterday.  :(

Food:

Breakfast - skipped my usual and just had coffee with soy and Splenda.  And a bottle of water.  I wanted to get the water in and drink the coffee before it got cold.  By then it was too close to lunch to eat the yogurt/cherries/Special K mixture.

A second bottle of water.

Lunch - 5 Foster Farms turkey meatballs, cucumber slices with jalapeno ranch dipping sauce, and a pear.

Working on bottle number 3 now, will fini**** after I wait my appropriate half hour (probably an hour for this meal) after eating.

Dinner will probably be a grilled protein - most likely chicken - and a veggie side.

I need to get a protein supplement in there too.  Maybe a drink on the ride home today.

My exercise has slipped.  I've gone from 4 yoga classes a week to two, and I haven't been to the gym in way too long to run or lift weights.  I love how I feel when I do that so I'm not sure why I ever let myself make excuses not to go.  Back at it ASAP, now that I can't use Christmas shopping or carting my daughter around as an excuse.  She was rearended about 6 weeks ago, but we got her a new car a couple days before Christmas with the insurance settlement (and then some!).  So I have no excuses at all - I just need to do it!

I'm at the eye doctor with my 4 y.o. daughter right now.  Trying to squeeze it in while I've met my deductible for the year.

I started puréed food yesterday.
B: isopure 4 oz.
S: 2 oz yogurt
L: 1.5 oz of tuna with 1/2 tsp of light mayo
S: 2 oz. cottage cheese
D: probably 2 oz  refried beans and cheese
I'll also try to get another 4oz of protein shake or isopure in.
