Ok so I ate scrambled egg...I have before and did well..I'm 2.5 wks postop. Today I ate it and all of a sudden was nauseated . Went to bathroom hoping I could talk myself out of it and dry heaved a few timethen threw up just a small amount....what happened? Did I over eat by just a bite it two ? If you throw up do u not necessarily throw up everything? Sorry I know this isn't a wonderful discussion topic I just wonder what happened ?

 I don't know what kind of diet your surgeon reccomends but mine says fro 8 weeks aftervsurgery i get to eat pureed food so maybe you could try pureeing the eggs and see if it's more agreeable that way?

 I have found that if I vomit, it is never large amounts, just tiny amounts. Someone at my support group had warned me about it happening that way.  It has always been when I have eaten something that I was not ready for, or if I ate too much.  That happened to me with tuna. I had eaten it before so I didn't even think twice.  Then lo and behold, it sat in my upper chest and came back out a little at a time.

You're still early out. If you remember, your pouch is made up of the very top portion of your original stomach. That part of you stomach NEVER had food pressing on it before. Even if your stitches are healed, those nerves are still freaking out about food. So every so often, until everything settles in, they may freak about a food that was fine a day or so ago.

Sounds like you ate one or two more bites than the pouch wanted, and that too at 2.5 weeks is typical. You won't get a "full" signal like you did pre-op, and you probably haven't figured out your pouch's new code for "stop eating NOW!" My pouch does it with burps, other people hiccup or sneeze.

Hang in there - all will come right with a bit more time. In the mean time, congrats on getting to real food!

I had my first boiled egg and had a little over two ounces and did fine but then got nausea i got luck and didnt throw up but lesson learned. I love this website its so informative and helps us thanks for sharing.
