...with great recipes!

This week on Bariatric Foodie I am doing my No-Flour Cookie-palooza. That means I'm posting cookie recipes using WLS friendly ingredients with no-white flour!!! One will have absolutely no starch at all. The best thing, in my estimation, about these recipes however, is the fact that I tweaked them to only yield a maximum of 12 cookies. Less cookies = less temptation to EAT too many cookies.

Newbies: Sorry! If I were you I'd hold off on these recipes. For those of you who are a ways out, Merry Christmas! Make up a batch of these lower carb, lower fat cookies, share them with your family and enjoy a little bit of cookie goodness.

Have I told you lately that I love you?  I have been begging Google to find me a sugar free, gluten free oatmeal chocolate chip cookie that was fairly easy and didn't include ingredients that I would have to go to China to find.  And here it is.
If I can't find sugar free chocolate chips my solution may be to chop up a Think Thin Chocolate Fudge protein bar and use that.  Not a fan of raisins but other then that, perfect!

My recipe is gluten free? HOT DAMN!!!

(I admit I am woefully ignorant about gluten but now looking at it, no flour = no flour proteins = no gluten! Yippee!!!)

Well, if you want to get all technical and official about it, no, your recipe isn't really considered gluten free if you don't use certified gluten free oats but I have to admit I don't go that far.  I just kind of doubt that whatever dust from whatever wheat products may have been produced in the same facility as the oats are going to cause me problems, but some people who are extremely sensitive to gluten products do have to go all out to make sure that what they eat hasn't come in contact with anything containing gluten.
I'm just cheap.  I really don't want to spend the extra money to make sure my oats haven't been exposed to any traces of gluten.
