Highway Robbery

Unreal. 

I'm fighting off what I suspect may become a sinus infection...right now I just have major nasal drip, scratchy throat, sore sinuses, and an investment in Kleenes. I can't take regular Benadryl during the day because I get all weirdo. Actually, any non drowsy allergy thingies make me all weirdo. I usually take it at night. I enjoy breathing. It's really good for me.

But enough was enough, so I head over to CVS on my way home from work and spend what felt like 15 minutes reading liquid cold and allergy lables: high fructose corn syrup....high fructose corn syrup...high fructose corn syrup.

I'm pretty sure the guy in the really nice wool coat *****aked of cigarettes heard me huff out loud when I tossed a bottle of Nyquil back onto the shelf.

Finally, in a wee itty bitty place about four cartons wide, and four shelves down, I find the sugar free stuff.

Apparently the marketing execs think because there's no sugar, it must cost one ten dollars for a teeny tiny bottle of syrup.

I am obviously in the wrong line of work. Highway robbery I tell ya.

I am several months pre op and even think about the sugar in medicines that can make you dump...there is HFCS in everything...
