1 - Eat an Early dinner. I eat dinner at a reasonable time, but still eat something at bed time.
9 - Order Ala carte. I still will order the big meal like I did preop but now it will last me for 3-4 more meals.
13 - Manage You stress. Umm Welcome to my life, you can't manage things that come in large volumes.
16 - Walk After meals. I do enough cardio and weights typically in the morning or before lunch.
20 - Avoid Dinner distractions. These actually help me to eat slower. Playing PS3 is ideal for me to eat

I am more convinced than ever that I am a complete RNY basket case. I am very meal resistant. Like sitting down for an actual meal on a plate? I don't like that. Grabbing something and going. I like that. Probably because this encouraged grazing. I eat meals in the morning and lunch. Psychologically I can't get into dinner. There's a finality to it that I don't like. It's like if I don't eat dinner, I can keep eating?
Dunno...but like I said...I got issues...

Rule # 2 - Weigh yourself daily - I think everyone knows how I feel about that one.
Rule # 3- Reward yourself. Well, yeah, that's a good idea... but reward yourself with food? And every day? Why not a non-food reward?
Rule # 4 - Eat a boring diet. Isn't a varied diet healthier? I eat a very boring diet and so far it seems to be working for me, but still... I take a million vitamins and get labs done every six months. The average person doesn't do that. Shouldn't they make sure to eat a variety of food?
Rule # 5 - read exercise and diet tips. That would be good, if you could figure out where to find accurate, healthy tips. There is so much misinformation out there, though, that I question how much that would really help.
I'm not going through all 20. But the only one I follow above is the boring diet thing.
ETA: I got 12 of the 20.
Please note: I AM NOT A DOCTOR. If you want medical advice, talk to your doctor. Whatever I post, there is probably some surgeon or other health care provider somewhere that disagrees with me. If you want to know what your surgeon thinks, then ask him or her. Check out my blog.
#3 I can see their rationale. If your diet has no wiggle room when you fall off the wagon you fall HARD. It's sort of like what Shari used to do (do you remember her? Jupiter6) She was a pretty straight shooter but then every so often she'd do a "food vacation" and eat any and everything she wanted. The food vacations she took 3% of her year made perfect compliance possible for the other 97%.
#4 - I am guilty of that. If you look through BF, you could probably make a list of 10 or so ingredients I ALWAYS use in my food. I just do a million different things with them. ;) But I am a creature of habit. Aside from blog cooking, I pretty much eat the same things all the time.
#5 - I read everything. I find it fascinating. I think it keeps me thinking at least. I think thinking about your process is every bit as important as the other parts.
Hey...at least you were AWARE that there were 20. I wasn't at first!
