Guess what I learned?
You know, I may be developing reactive hypoglycemia too. I hadn't thought about it, but when I eat more carb/less protein meals I tend to get so sleepy I can't function.
My blood sugars have to be in the 30s before I get the shakes, but I get real sleepy before then. When I had my son, I walked into the operating room at 54 glucose without a problem -- other than being real tired. His glucose was only 80, so we avoided what had happened with my daughter. With my last child, my sugars were 62 and his were 85, so we avoided that bullet again.
I guess I need to get my meter out, buy new test strips, calibrate, and then start checking...

Now see, it did not happen last time I went to the movies. But maybe I had some protein right before I went, I can't remember.
