Three Years Out

Sooo...with all the Thanksgiving hoopla (and some personal crap going on) - I forgot to post on my surgiversary! I am three years out from my RNY! I lost a total of 148, but had a bounce back. I am maintaining at 155 and still rocking my size six jeans - so life is good! My Thanksgiving NSV was when we were deciding where everyone would sit. There was a place against the wall that was squished in, so my aunt said, "The smallest person needs to sit here - that would be Debbie." WOAH! I was the smallest person there! Of course my sister spoiled it by reminding everyone that the actual smallest person was my seven-year-old niece - LOL!

So for all you nervous newbies - Is it worth it? Hell yeah!

I so wish I was a size six. I'd be happy to be even a size ten. I am glad i'm down to a size sixteen tho. Sounds crazy. I'm down to 183 but still can't get into a smaller size.

I had a panniculectomy to remove excess skin that I needed desperately gone. Still haven't lost a size tho. So i've decided that i'm not going to worry about a number on the tag in my jeans but going to celebrate that I'm so much thinner than when I started.

I have come too far to let a number hold me up and make me feel bad!!!!

Met my first goal, met my second goal, met my surgeons goal. Now I have a new goal!

Congratulations Debbi. It's hard to believe so many of you gals are that far out, seems like yesterday we were wishing you a speedy recovery.

Me and my boy got the tight chairs yesterday too!
Congrats on 3 years out. I'm right behind you.
I think it's worth it as well.
