What's for dinner/What have you eaten today?

It's been a while since I asked!

Today was NOT a good day to be me. It seemed like everything that sprung forth from my fingers (I am a professional writer) was rejected! Oy!

Tonight I am NOT going to support group in favor of going to Zumba. I've let my fitness fall by the wayside too much. One thing I am proud of is the fact that every Thanksgiving week since surgery I've challenged myself to do an hour each day that week at the gym and I have done it! And I will do it again this year!!!

S'anyway....here's what I've eaten today:

1. Chocolate PB protein shake
2. Mac Wrap from McD's (and I am NOT ashamed!)
3. Protein Sweet potato pie

For dinner, I think I'm going to have scrambled eggs with turkey bacon and some homemade guacamole. I seem to crave eggs a lot. I also have lasagna...but I want the eggs!

RNY on 08/19/09 with
Junk food day for me today.

Yogurt for breakfast
Lunch was a dollar burger from sonic.
Dinner is a couple of pieces of melon.

I know I am not getting in my protein today. I am having super nausea issues. I have developed an allergy to a med I need for blood clots. Its the only med that my ins. will pay for that will work, so I need it and may be on it for six months. gaahh.

I will work on my protein but right now I am mostly trying to stay hydrated and keep something down. Anything. Only thing that stayed down today was the melon. So far.

Met my first goal, met my second goal, met my surgeons goal. Now I have a new goal!

Sorry you're having such a rough time. Hope you get relief soon. Need those meds if you have blood clots. Sending good wishes and prayers your way!

It's been a terrible EATING day for me. Lots of stress, which makes me want to eat LOTs of food. This has NOT been a typical days food, thank God. Where are the veggies?! Breakfast and lunch were not horrible, but dinner was enough to make anyone puke. UUGGGG! And lots of coffe but only 2 bottles of water. : (

B- Peppermint mocha protein coffee
s- greek yogurt w/ 2 tbsp pumpkin & dollop of cinnamon cool whip
l- 1/2 cup hamburger w/taco seasoning & 1 slice of cheese & 1 small bag of doritos
s- mozzarella cheese stick & 4 whole wheat crackers
d- 1 cup tuna casserole
1/4 cup nuts
1 SF fudgsicle
2 hotdogs w/catsup & mustard (no bread)
1/3 cup ice cream (REAL!!!)

I came in late from work, about to starve.Over a period of about 45 minutes I ate all this, lastly the ice cream. I am sitting here typing and waiting for the dumping to start! I feel totally out of control and it was very hard for me to actually admit this and put it out there for everyone to see what I have done. I have always been a secret overeater, and I know it's important to get this out in the open and not hide it.

Nic- you are great and I always love your posts and your recipes.

Protein bar, protein shake, roasted chickpeas (now I'll fart all night!), big salad from Panera... and I have a shortbread cookie for later!

I made those stupid chickpeas and holy man was the gas bad.  I couldn't finish the can otherwise I would have been kicked out of my house.  And I live with 4 smelly boys and 1 stinky husband.  Yes that bad. :)

For a fun family activity, you could all have a farting contest.  Boys love that.  And husbands are often just big boys, you know.  You'd win, but since everyone would be farting, they could not blame all the stink on you.

Last 3 weeks of the semester left and I'm overwhelmed with the amount of school work I have left to do (and tests I have to study for).  This means meals are sort of catch as catch can these days.

Breakfast:  scrambled egg white breakfast taco (Mission carb balance tortilla)
Snack:  Protein coffee
Lunch:  sausage, cornbread, and stewed squash
Dinner:  soft ta****uorn, cheese, and another tortilla)
Snack:  1 square Lindt dark chocolate with sea salt.

Evening plan:  Add a protein hot chocolate to the mix.
