Poll for people 2+ years out
1. I can eat out without wait staff believing my food was unacceptable to me because I barely touched it. I can eat most foods without problems. I can eat wtihout a ton of thought (because I can eat most foods and because my "new" way of eating is now second nature). I am no longer completely consumed by having had weight loss surgery and it has now become just a part of me instead of my entire existance (which is how it felt to me right after surgery). I no longer have to consciously chew, chew, chew.
2. I still do not eat bread very often (still a huge trigger for me) and rice remains my nemesis (painful!). Soda is also off limits as just a couple of sips causes pain. Pork is impossible to eat unless I am completely focused on eating (gets stuck soooo easily). Too much sugar brings life to a screeching hault pretty quickly for a couple of hours.

1. My weight stays mostly the same.
I don't have to think that much about my food. I just put in front of me what I know works.
Taking vitamins is an automatic non issue.
I can eat a little bit of most anything.
2. I still feel like a postop...some days I have an incredibly small pouch. What I eat on those days still amazes me.
Water is still dicey.
I get random foamies and reactive hypoglycemia.

1. I do not feel like a post op anymore because, unfortunately, I can eat way more than I should and could when newly post op.
2. I do feel like a post op because of the supplements we have to take, and unfortunately the calcium causes such problems for me I rarely take it anymore...I know bad, but I have not been able to correct the bowel issue when taking those darn pesky things.
