"Mommy and Me" Protein Shakes
Protein shakes aren't just for us post-ops...or for body builders. I can't tell you how many post-ops I've met who tell me their kids LOVE protein shakes. And why not? They're not bad for you and if you mix them right they taste pretty darn good!
Still, kids have a different set of nutritional needs, which got me to playing around with my daughter's protein shake to give her what she needs in a breakfast shake that she likes.
...and it keeps her out of my shake cup.
Today on Bariatric Foodie...a shake for you AND a shake for the lil' protein connisseurs in your life!

Hey, I'm no Mommy (unless you consider to my cats or even my hubs), but I still checked out the posted shake recipes... just made a version of the Peanutella one.
I rarely have shakes which aren't a version of coffee anymore, so for this I used about 4 oz. milk and a small bit of powdered coffee with the chocolate protein, PB2 powdered cocoa and a couple splashes SF Hazelnut syrup. I whizzed it all around around in my bullet-like blender for a couple secs and then poured the chocolately goodness into my freshly brewed coffee.
All I can say is that WOW, it's abo****ely delicious! Truly does have that Nutella taste, but with peanuts instead. Thanks for continuing to put interesting options out there... always grateful, Nikki.
