hot protein drink mixes

I just wanted to share something I've been doing.

Lately I've been  loving hot protein drinks, but sometimes they are kind of a pain to fix because I usually don't like just protein powder and milk or water.  I always want other things in it and I have to open a bunch of bottles or jars and spoon a little bit out.  So I've started mixing all the ingredients in a large jar and then I just have to add it to the liquid, stir, and then stir that into my hot drink.

So I do something like this: One cup vanilla protein powder, half cup instant decaf coffee, half cup sugar free French vanilla powdered creamer, half cup Splenda.  I put it in a jar and shake it up real good.

I use old food jars, like spaghetti sauce or applesauce.  I put a label on the front saying what's in it, like French vanilla protein latte, and a label on the back showing the ingredients so I remember how to make it when I run out and need to make more.

I love this idea.  I'm like you, I just want to mix and go and not mess with a half dozen little ingredients.

This is a good idea...I do something similar to this for my "spice blends" the I create.  I buy the jars and canisters from Ikea or the container store to store them in.

I would love for others to post their mix ideas.  I already use the Protein Chai tea mix, although putting the ingredients on the container is a great idea because I'm out and I know I need to go look it up again so I can mix more!

That's why I like the ingredients on the container.
