ARGH! annoyed about therapy appointment
So I got to the office today about 12:55 and the receptionist tells my that my appointment was at noon, not 1:00. I'm confused because I feel so certain it was 1:00 but she keeps telling me it was noon. So I reschedule for tomorrow. At least I didn't have to wait another week.
But I'm frustrated that I managed to get there today only to find out I was late, and I'm kind of worried because I usually have a very good memory and when I get mixed up over stuff like this, it's usually a sign that my PTSD and/or depression is really bad. It's a bad sign.
So I get home and I decide to look for that appointment card, because I am just so sure it was 1:00. I have to dig through the garbage. Ick. But I found it. And guess what it says?
Yep. 1:00. I am taking it with me tomorrow to show the receptionist and my therapist so they know I didn't just not show up. But I'm very annoyed, not only because I missed my appointment today when I shouldn't have, but because that receptionist had me thinking I was confused, and it turns out I wasn't.

I do plan to talk to my therapist tomorrow because it really upsets me.

frustration and angst. Maybe they'll be more mindful in the future. I
get the rush and commotion of a front office...used to run a front office
for a doc a lifetime ago, but still the same.......you are owed an
apology and if the front office doesn't give you one, talk to your
doc about it. They usually don't want patient angst over their
errors.

My therapist passed away last week, after a 2 year battle with cancer. I've seen him for the last 10 years, and although he was no relation at all, and we weren't really 'friends,' after talking about intimate details of my life all that time, him dying seems like a big loss. May he rest in peace.
