yet another poop question... yes, TMI

For the last few months, I've been managing my constipation pretty well with Mirilax and magnesium oxide.  I've had a few times I've had a hard time going but I've managed to go.  and most days it's not difficult.

I've been feeling really crampy for the last few days and I was assuming it was due to that time of month but that's almost over now and I still feel crampy.  Today I also feel very bloated.  Uncomfortably so.  then it occurred to me this evening that I have not pooped in a few days.  I can't remember exactly how many days it's been, maybe three or four.  And up to now, I've been going every day, sometimes more than once a day.

I am still taking my Mirilax and magnesium oxide.  I took a second dose this evening, hoping it would get things moving.  But not yet.  I don't really feel like I need to go..  Um, how can I say this delicately?  I don't feel like there is stuff down there that needs to come out.  But I've been eating normally and if usually go every day, wouldn't there have to be stuff that needs to come out after three or four days?  Should I just keep taking the Mirilax and mag ox or should I do something else?

Probably due to the sugar alcohols?  They don't have that effect on me.

oh, thats too bad. The other thing you could try since your so far out is Dr. Natura's colonix fiber. Ive used it before, pre-op. It makes ur poop so light and fluffy, and u use less toilet paper. Sometimes you dont even know you have to poop til u sit down. Its awesome stuff.

When I take miralax I seem to be very bloated and gassy, It does the job but I hate how gross I feel! Have you been keeping up on your water? Is it true that our bodies become used to depending on that?

Kelly, I agree with LoveShinesThru above..... sugar free candies work for me, plus 3 stool softener caplets a day.
