I have a Bachelors degree in Social Work and I am currently in grad school (after 18 years) going for my Masters in Social Work. I am currently working p/t as a TSS (Therapeutic Support Staff) with special needs children. I have worked in a variety of social service jobs over the years. When I get my MSW I hope to work in  VA hospital or clinic or with Oncology patients or possibly Therapy.

I am in school getting my bachelors degree in social science education with a minor in English/ language arts education.  I will graduate in May and I just got accepted for the Master's program.  So next year I will *hopefully* get a teaching job and be starting my Master's in Exceptional Education.

Good thread, Kelly! I run my own children's theater during the school year and home school my 2 kids.

I am a stay at home mom to my 4 kiddos. And I wouldn't change it for anything. Before mommyhood, I was a para working with special needs children in elementary schools. Which I am sure I will go back into once all my kids are in school full time.

I work for a consulting/insurance firm... specifically, I'm a systems analyst working on programming software for administration of 401(k) plans.  Sometimes interesting, sometimes not...

I can honestly say that never in my life did I think this is what I would end up doing.  Years and years ago at the advent of the computer age, my dad worked at a company maintaining membership with the assistance of  massive computers (remember those days?).  I wish he were alive to see what computers have become... and to see the work I am doing.  I believe he'd be so amazed at the technology... and so proud of me.

I know what you mean. I was a psychology and History major who bought a computer to write Term papers.  I quickly learned that I did not want to spend my life listening to people ***** about their lives so I stumbled into something that sounded more fun.

Your dad would be amazed at the systems I work on.  Our Cloud here probably has more computing power than existed in the 70s.
