Two holiday food tastings in two cities. Lots of cooking. So. Many. Cheeseballs!

LOL.

All kidding aside, I'd wondered if I could execute the annual Bariatric Foodie Holiday Food Tasting on my own once, much less twice in two cities 200+ miles apart (within the span of a week), but thanks to many Foodie friends, I did just that and now that it's all over, I am feeling a profound sense of pride in what Bariatric Foodie has become, a community of WLSers who genuinely want to make peace with their food lives.

Anyhoo...I'm waxing all sentimental now, but I just had to tell you guys everything went great. This is a big NSV for me. In my former life I would have never attempted to purse a passion much less share that passion with others.

In these moments, MUCH more so than any moment on the scale, I love my RNY!

Yes, your writings and actions are an inspiration to all of us.  Love your recipes.  Wish I could've attended one of the tastings.

Right on, Nikki... we all KNEW you could do it!  But remember what I said when you posted about it a while back...

... now that it's done, step back a little bit and do some TLC on yourself.  I'm sure the time of year has you running for a lot of reasons, but still make it a priority to try to relax a bit and recoup.  Lots of energy and angst went into the tastings, I am certain... you need to recharge.

Regardless, so proud you and all you've accomplished to date... not to mention all that you will STILL accomplish going forward.   May not know you in person, but am proud of you nonetheless... you are an inspiration to us all in chasing our dreams.  It's all in the follow-through!

Blessings, sweetness... and Happy Holidays.
