Kelly, I'm glad you are trying a new med, good luck with it. The first time I saw a psychiatrist for medication management i was profoundly, severely depressed. The first thing he said to me was that he was sure he could make me feel better, but we might have to work at it. He was right, I felt like we tried every drug on the market but he came up with a combination that did make me feel a lot better. There are still ups and downs but hang in there and I'm sure they will find something that is able to lift the clouds for you, too.

Hang in there! Hope the abilify works for you..... not to worry you but be careful. I was on it with effexor and it made my depression worse to the point of almost commiting suicide. I was hospitalized and taken off of it. But, i was also 23 so that could of been a factor too. If you don't feel better or start to feel worse call your Dr immediately. Don't wait.

I am so sorry that you are going through this.  I wish there was something I could do or say to help.  I wish you nothing but luck and you are welcome to PM me anytime.  You have been a huge support for me and I would welcome the chance to do the same for you, even if it just means listening.

I sure wish you the best Kelly and that this might be the answer for you.  I also hope the therapy proves beneficial as well.  I am giving you a big hug of gratitude for all of the wisdom and kind words you bring to all of us who frequent this site.  You are a good filter for all of the misinformation out there and a wealth of knowledge.

Feel better soon,
Paula
