This is your brain...this is your brain without b12...

So in the beginning of my journey I wasn't so good at taking my b12. I did it by injection monthly and...hold on a sec...one of the divas needs something...

...

Hi. Why did I start this post? Oh yeah! The post title...so about my b12...I liked the injection fine but I often forget to take it. Once I forgot three months in a row and I started losing...dangit!!! Phone! BRB.

...

Ok...I know I was going somewhere with that thought. I started losing...? Losing...? What the hell did I lose??? Money? Friends? Ummm...

...

Oh yeah! Words! I started losing words. One night I wanted a glass of water and I went to ask my daughter to get me one and could not remember the word for cup which was very...argh! The cat is coughing up a hairball! Last interruption, I promise!

...

Ok this time I know what I WANT to say but I can't remember the word for it. It's like discouraging but that wasn't the word. It was dis-something. Dis...dis..

...

Oh yeah! Disconcerting.

So the moral of the story. Take your vitamins. All of them. Put reminders in your phone, get an accountability partner, start putting it in the "what are you eating" thread. Whatever you have to do just...

What was I talking about again?

And no I am not exaggerating. I just got labs and am waiting on the results but my short term memory has taken a seriou**** I will have to take a B complex my NUT said. I now take b12 religiously in a daily supplement, which is easier for me to remember. But that type of conversation happens at least once daily for me these days. So take your vitamins!!!

So interesting. I wonder if this is whats been wrong w/ me. My fam/friends make fun of me but I am CONSTANTLY calling things the wrong thing like my daughters book bag the diaper bag etc
But also, lately, people have to fill in the blanks for me b/c I draw a blank on the words I want to use. Such as insensitive. I was trying to think of that the other day and it would not come to me at all. Post surg do u take the same amt of b12 that you did pre surg?
I haven't had lab response I don't know.

For the last year I have been giving myself the B12 shots at home. I was trying to re-fill the prescription and discovered that no one is making the injections anymore. What is everyone else doing?

I was able to get a one month supply from the local pharmacy, but they had to look far and wide for it.

I haven't heard about that. I use Building Blocks Vitamins b12 spray. It's like that spray for bad breath. You spray it under your tongue, hold it there a few seconds, then swallow. Tastes like spearmint gum.

www.bbvitamins.com if you're interested in checking it out.

You have always talked Bout the importan e of vitamins, and the B12 has always been a hot topic. I took that too far the other direction, and my B12 at 6 months out is greater than 2000. Wanted you to know people do listen

I take a sublingual every other day. It's 2500 mg. I figured if I did that I wouldn't pee out as much. I got it from Walmart and it tastes like cherries. It's actually pretty good.
