Totally OT - money saving coupons!
I recently read something on some blog (can't remember which one) that suggested simply contacting companies that make products you use regularly and asking for coupons. It seemed almost silly to me but I figured, hey, why not give it a try? There are all those sites where you can print out coupons online but so many of the coupons on there are for products I never use. Then there are other brands that I use all the time but almost never find coupons for.
Since you can email many companies through their webistes, it doesn't even cost you a stamp. I just emailed a few companies about specific products that I use a lot. My partner must have a certain brand of peanut butter, for example. I will only feed my cats a certain brand of cat food. So I emailed a few companies and very briefly told them why I really like their product and asked if they could send me any coupons.
And what do you know? I have started to receive some coupons in the mail! Coupons for the exact products that I want to buy, no less. How cool is that?
