Citracal ER Calcium pills

Has anyone tried the new Citracal extended release? They say there's 1200mg of calcium in 2 pills, and you only take them once a day....

Not sure if these are OK for us postops....

Well, we need more than 1200 mg calcium citrate a day. But beyond that, extended release meds and vites don't work so good for us because our digestive tract is now shorter than normal. The pills can leave our system before we've had time to absorb them fully.

These are bad for a whole host of reasons, but I'll give another good one -- these are mostly carbonate.
