What's considered high on lab work numbers
MCV is the Mean Corpuscular Volume. It is the evaluation of the average volume of a red blood cell. A high MCV could be caused by a medication you are taking, liver disease, a B12 or folate deficency or many other things. It's only part of the puzzle. You would have to look at other counts of blood work to really figure out if it is something to be concerned about. If you are worried, contact your doctor and ask him to check your labs and explain them to you. Mine has been slightly elevated for years and my Doctor is not concerned about it.
Hope this helps a little.

Yours would be considered slightly high .
One of the blood tests that is done to test the liver is SGPT/ALT, SGOT/ALT. They should be in the range of 0-33 (depending on the lab that is doing the test. Some ranges may be a little different than others) If you are concerned that you have liver damage, let your Dr know. He may do an ultrasound or other tests.
