I can't see you sucking at this.  I was broken hearted when you were having a shake tasting last year and the weather fouled things up.

Most are just going to be happy to meet the legend.  Yea, I know, you don't think of yourself that way. But you have helped a lot of people with your blog, your recipes and your posts.  Trust me on this one.  I refer folks to your site all of the time.  Non-ops as well as us "changelings".  Everyone comes back and tells me how helpful it was.  I don't think they could all be lying to me.

So practice that autograph!  Oh wait...did I just add another task to your list?  Forget that then.

You will be fine.  It will be fun and people will be glad they came.  Now break a leg!

You know, it's one of those surreal things. I have a hard time wrapping my head around what's happened with the blog. It started on this very board, when we decided to do an "Iron Chef" sort of thing. Back inna day OH only let you have like 50 photos on your profile so I had maxed out and decided to start a lil' blog to put up my food photos.

Ah memories...

But no, I don't think of myself as any kind of anything. I'm just Nik. Peanut butter obsessed, food curious and longing to share my yummies with others. LOL.

Thank you for that inspiring word.

I can't stop laughing.
I wish I had some great recipes for you. But my favorite is greek yogurt, crushed pinnapple and a few squirts of SF coconut syrup. I also put it in the ice cream maker and it's frozen yogurt.
But I can encourage you... You are doing a great job. And you gave me some great chuckles... I love the way you handle stress..

Take a Stewart Smalley moment: "I'm good enough, I'm smart enough and - gosh darnit - people like me". Because they like you. They REALLY like you!

Here's a stress management tip: in getting thru your to-do stuff, budget your time, have plan Bs and add about 30min to any time estimating you were doing.

I would have loved to go to your party in B'more but have the AIDSwalk in DC that am and football games that afternoon.... and friggen broke!!! Next year, I promise....

Nik.... c'mon, take a deep breath and step back from the ledge.  Things are undoubtedly crazy, but I KNOW YOU.... YOU THRIVE on pressure and nuttiness.  And honestly, I'm betting you do some of your very best work when pushed to the limit.

I have TOTAL faith in your ability to pull this off... you WILL do it.  Just remember once it's in the rearview mirror to take some time out for yourself... let your batteries recharge.  You can handle ANYTHING...

GIRL POWER!

You'll do great! I'm gonna try to get the Baltimore one, after I pay bills this weekend if I have enough I really want to come!  Not just to meet you but because I think what you are offering is one of the best gifts that I can give myself, the ability to taste food that is good for me (post surgery) and meet others who are riding in this same boat!

Deep breath, you'll do just fine

Nik, you're simply amazing and will pull it off like I suspect you do
everything. You are one of those rare folks who can do whatever
it is you decide to do, and do it well. You are thought about, cared
about and loved by so many people.......and all that thought is
headed your way to help lift you up and get you through this.
Wish I could be there but I'm sending prayers and all sorts of
Wonder Woman thoughts your way instead.
Thanks for all that you give us.  You rock!
